Hall of Fame

In 1979, the SCAA Board of Directors began the Auctioneer of the Year Award to recognize members who have distinguished themselves above others in the Association. The recipients of the award included Jimmy Blocker in 1979, J.L. Pinckney (deceased) in 1980, Archie Moody in 1981, Maude Burnett (deceased) in 1982 and Fred Mullis was the last recipient in 1983.

In 1984 the Board of Directors changed the Auctioneer of the Year format and began the South Carolina Auctioneers Association Hall of Fame.

The President appoints a Hall of Fame Committee to oversee the nomination process, the selection of candidates, and finally the selection of the Hall of Fame inductee. The Committee consists of the past five inductees with the outgoing member serving as chairman.

If you know a member who has distinguished themselves in such a manner as to make you feel that they have met the qualifications of induction, please make your nomination known to the Committee.
